Forklift driver (counterbalance)

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a thermal insulation company based in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin. In this role, you will support day-to-day warehouse and yard operations by safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing materials and finished goods. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in operating equipment accurately, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

You will play an important part in ensuring materials are handled correctly, stock is stored in the right locations, and deliveries are prepared on time to support production and customer fulfilment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move raw materials, insulation products, pallets, and finished goods.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles in line with site procedures and safety requirements.
• Receive, check, and put away incoming stock accurately.
• Pick, stage, and prepare orders for dispatch according to schedules and instructions.
• Move materials between warehouse, yard, and production areas as required.
• Support stock control by ensuring items are stored correctly and locations are kept tidy and organised.
• Carry out basic checks on forklift equipment and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, following all health and safety policies.
• Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to keep operations running smoothly.

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence/certification is essential.
• Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse, yard, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting, loading, and material handling practices.
• Ability to work accurately and follow instructions in a busy operational setting.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures and willingness to follow site rules at all times.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual handling when required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Basic communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and report stock or equipment issues.
• Experience with stock control, goods-in/goods-out, or warehouse operations is an advantage.
• able to cover a rotation shift from 06:00 starts to 09:30 starts
