Senior Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Ireland. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions that power critical business functions and customer experiences. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features, improve system reliability, and contribute to technical direction across the team.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software applications and services.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for new and existing systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot production issues, and implement long-term fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold quality, security, and scalability standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and help improve team practices, tooling, and development processes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and release management activities.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or equivalent role.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems, APIs, or cloud-based applications.
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code review workflows.
• Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases and performance optimization techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in development and production environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, influence technical decisions, and deliver high-quality outcomes independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
