Job Description:

Redlough are a second-generation family business SME providing Landscaping Services - both Grounds Maintenance & Project Installations to nationwide, commercial clients. We are on track for aspiring growth plans in the next 3-5 years and looking for an ambitious Financial Controller (FC) to join our team.  This FC will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, cost management & process improvements, and leading a small team. This may suit a Senior Accountant ready to step into a leadership role within a commercially focused, fast-paced services environment.  Focus will be placed on turn around times for  month end accounts, as well as job costing and analysis and enhanced reporting.

The Ideal person will come from a similar Services based industry, such as Construction / FM. Ideally, they will have a Qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or CPA), plus 8+ years plus post qualification experience. 

Job Description

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, 2x weekly payrolls, 
  • Oversee AP, AR & Payroll functions
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (Revenue, CSO)
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial controls
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to assist with budgets, forecasting & strategic planning including implementing strong procedures for evaluating and acquiring capital assets
  • Lead and develop non-financial managers with Key reports 
  • Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and controls
  • Preparing detailed monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet reconciliations, Director/ Board reports & sign off on Year-end Accounts & Analysis
  • Completion of annual budgets & forecasts in clients with agreed contracts
  • Ongoing development and review internal controls and processes
  • Implementation and continuous improvement of current information systems - where appropriate implementing improvements & upgrades
  • Working closely with operational management - Preparing and monitoring, monthly, quarterly and annual rolling budget information & responding decisively to budget deviations ensuring the appropriate action is taken

Role will suit a pro-active candidate who has a proven track record in all aspects of financial management and controls across the business. This candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organisation and externally. They will have a “can do” attitude to assist in day-to-day items but also contribute at board level and apply strategic thinking. Previous experience within a fast-paced services that deals with significant transactional activity is a distinct advantage. Experience with Sage 50 Accounts an advantage

Role will be based near Dublin 15, but not easily accessible by Public Transport. It&nbs...

Requirements:

ACCA/ CIMA/ CPA qualified

8+ PQE in industry  -  a labour focused industry such as construction of facilities mangement  is advantageous
