Warehouse Operative

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our client's operations team on a permanent full-time basis in Cork. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, takes pride in accuracy and safety, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service.

As a key member of the team, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods through the warehouse, from receiving and storing stock to picking, packing, and dispatching orders. You will play an important role in maintaining high operational standards, protecting stock integrity, and supporting a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Uphold company values and represent the business in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Follow all Health and Safety procedures and maintain compliance with company standards.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, safe, and secure throughout the working day.
• Accurately pick customer products to the highest standards, ensuring order quality and completeness.
• Prepare orders for delivery and collection, checking all inbound and outbound goods for accuracy and condition.
• Follow Goods Receiving and Dispatching procedures consistently.
• Handle stock carefully to prevent damage and maintain a zero-damage approach wherever possible.
• Assist with cycle counting, stock checks, and inventory accuracy activities.
• Report any delivery, collection, stock, or process issues promptly to the Operations Manager.
• Support the wider operations team with other warehouse duties and related tasks as required.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse or similar logistics environment.
• Manual Handling certification.
• Current Fork Truck Driving Licence.
• Proven ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and Health & Safety compliance.
• Experience with goods receiving, dispatching, picking, packing, or stock control procedures.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining stock accuracy and product quality.
• Ability to work flexibly and support different warehouse tasks as needed.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused attitude.
• Must have the right to live and work in Ireland on a permanent basis.
