Beverage manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Beverage Manager to join a very busy venue in Dublin 2. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing all beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, maintaining stock control, and driving profitability across the bar and drinks program. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and bring strong commercial awareness, team leadership, and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead daily beverage operations across bar service, stock management, and team coordination.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, rotation, and control of all beverages and related supplies.
• Train, motivate, and support bar staff to deliver consistent service and product knowledge.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, compliance, and customer service.
• Monitor beverage sales, labour, and waste to improve margins and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with management to develop drink offerings, promotions, and seasonal menus.
• Ensure adherence to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.

• Proven experience in beverage management, bar management, or a similar hospitality leadership role in a high-volume venue.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and beverage service standards.
• Experience managing stock levels, supplier relationships, ordering, and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a busy service environment.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with a strong eye for detail.
• Good commercial understanding, including sales performance, margins, and waste reduction.
• Knowledge of licensing regulations, food and beverage compliance, and responsible alcohol service.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods as required.
