Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Public Sector Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our public sector procurement processes are efficient, compliant, and value-driven. You will work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to manage the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that we meet the needs of the organization while adhering to best practices and EU directives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end tender process in compliance with EU Directives.
  • Conduct RFXs and oversee contract management for goods and services.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money.
  • Ensure timely awarding of contracts and maintain relationships with suppliers and end users.
  • Develop and implement a contract management plan for ongoing contracts.
  • Track spending against budget and analyze costs and supplier performance through relevant KPIs.
  • Periodically review costs to ensure accuracy and explore automation opportunities for processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public procurement.
  • Qualification in Public Procurement is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in tendering procedures, including Frameworks, Qualification systems, Dynamic Purchasing Systems, Competitive Dialogue, and Negotiated procedures.
  • Proficient in SAP and Coupa software; familiarity with these tools is welcomed.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills.
  • Strong business awareness and ability to manage multiple RFXs simultaneously.
