Job Description:

Overview

Join Ireland's leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company as a Project Manager in their Energy and Industry team, focusing on groundbreaking solar projects in the Midlands region. This pivotal role involves overseeing the planning, execution, monitoring, and commissioning of Renewable Projects from tender award to completion. You will ensure project objectives are met through effective resource coordination, timeline management, budget oversight, and risk mitigation, while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Set the overall standard for projects/contracts and ensure the implementation of Core Values.
  • Manage safety, health, and wellbeing standards on all projects.
  • Identify and deliver project requirements while resolving issues in a controlled and timely manner.
  • Plan, review, and deliver contract programmes effectively.
  • Provide line management for Site Managers, Site Engineers, and Section Managers.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding project progress.
  • Create and review risk assessments as needed.
  • Handle all commercial activities associated with the project, including gross margin delivery and cost control.
  • Manage subcontractor performance concerning commercial and financial metrics.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant trade certification.
  • Proven experience in construction contracts, particularly FIDIC and NEC.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Project Managerial role, managing complex site-based projects.
  • Experience in large renewable projects, specifically in Solar and Wind sectors.
  • Familiarity with Design and Build projects.
  • Knowledge of Electrical Installations and Commissioning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
