Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Center Technician to join our Data Center team in Dublin. In this role, you will support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers and related hardware in a fast-paced data center environment. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on technical experience, a strong interest in computer hardware, and a problem-solving mindset.

We are especially interested in candidates who have a CompTIA A+ certification, 1-2 years of experience repairing computers or supporting hardware, and a genuine enthusiasm for technology. Experience building PCs as a hobby or working on personal IT projects can be a strong advantage.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Install, replace, and troubleshoot servers, storage devices, network components, and other data center hardware.
  • Perform basic hardware diagnostics and resolve issues related to power, connectivity, storage, and system performance.
  • Execute rack and stack activities, cable management, and equipment organization to maintain a clean and efficient environment.
  • Respond to hardware incidents and escalate more complex issues to senior technical staff when needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for asset handling, inventory tracking, and equipment documentation.
  • Support routine maintenance tasks, including hardware swaps, component replacements, and system checks.
  • Work closely with the broader IT team to ensure uptime, reliability, and smooth operations across the data center.
  • Adhere to safety, security, and operational standards at all times.

What Makes This Role Unique

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with physical hardware and wants to build a career in infrastructure and data center operations. You will gain exposure to enterprise systems, learn from experienced technical teams, and develop practical skills in a high-demand environment. If you enjoy troubleshooting computers, building systems, and solving hands-on technical problems, this role offers a strong pathway into IT operations.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in computer repair, IT support, hardware troubleshooting, or a related technical role.
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent foundational IT certification preferred.
  • Strong interest in computer hardware, server components, and IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic hardware issues efficiently and accurately.
  • Experience with PC building, hardware upgrades, or personal tech projects is a plus.
  • Good understanding of cable management, component installation, and equipment handling.
  • Ability to follow procedures, document work clearly, and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and operational standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work in a data center setting, which may involve standing, lifting, and occasional shift-based schedules.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary aligned with data center and IT support market rates in Dublin.
  • Opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise server and infrastructure systems.
  • Career growth potential into senior data center, systems, or infrastructure roles.
  • Training and development opportunities to expand technical skills and certifications.
  • Supportive team environment with experienced IT professionals.
  • Exposure to high-availability systems and mission-critical operations.
  • Paid time off and standard employee leave benefits.
  • Employee wellness and work-life support programs, where applicable.
