Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join a leading Building & Civils Contractor in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to work on new housing and refurbishment projects that contribute to the growth and development of the community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and according to best practices.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Setting out sites and ensuring that construction is completed according to technical designs and drawings.
  • Conducting site surveys and assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Utilizing AutoCAD and other engineering software for effective project execution.
  • Assisting the procurement department with material selection and orders.
  • Collaborating with the commercial department to manage project budgets and costs.
  • Completing Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) forms and adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of recent experience working on Civil Engineering projects in Ireland or the UK (mandatory).
  • Proficient in the use of setting out equipment, including GPS, site engineer level, and total station.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical designs and drawings accurately.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
