Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Fashion Department Manager to join a leading international retail brand in Limerick. As Department Manager, you will take full ownership of your department, leading from the front to inspire your team, maintain high operational and visual standards, and deliver against sales, KPI, and profitability targets. You will play a key role in developing people, improving performance, and ensuring the department operates efficiently and commercially every day.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Drive sales, KPIs, and profitability across the department through strong commercial leadership.
  • Lead the team to deliver an excellent customer experience and high standards on the shop floor.
  • Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics to identify opportunities and implement improvement actions.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop team members to build capability and support succession planning.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of staff.
  • Maintain strong visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines and seasonal trends.
  • Oversee stock control, replenishment, admin processes, and store routines to ensure smooth operations.
  • Work closely with store leadership to maintain a clean, organised, and efficient retail environment.
  • Address operational challenges quickly and effectively with a hands-on, solution-focused approach.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a retail management or department management role, ideally within fashion, apparel, or high-volume retail.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and act on opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, delegation, and organisational skills.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
  • Understanding of visual merchandising, stock management, and store operations.
  • Ability to recruit, onboard, and support the development of retail teams.
  • Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and busy trading periods.
