Job Description:

Overview

Due to continued growth and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland’s Tier 1 Main Contractors is seeking skilled Site Engineers for apartment projects in Dublin. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to be part of a firm that fosters long-term career development in a supportive environment.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Set out engineer’s drawings, conduct site surveys, and prepare as-built drawings.
  • Interpret drawings for layouts and material measurements.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and collaborate with all site staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Plan works efficiently to achieve program targets on time and within budget.
  • Communicate with client representatives and the Design Team as necessary.
  • Ensure all works comply with ISO standards.
  • Order and control materials on site while maintaining accurate site records.
  • Manage and supervise service installations, particularly for Uisce Eireann.
  • Assist the Quantity Surveyor in re-measuring work and tracking daily outputs.
  • Complete any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in setting out for construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction details and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and meeting program deadlines.
  • A valid full driving license.
